What IS NDIS?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), supports eligible Australians who have a permanent and significant disability, whether from birth or acquired later in life. A permanent disability refers to a condition expected to last a lifetime.

The NDIS helps individuals with disabilities connect to essential community services and supports. It also provides funding to enhance their independence, increase opportunities for social participation, develop new skills, explore employment or volunteering, and improve overall quality of life.

Am I Eligible For NDIS?

Am I eligible for NDIS

I am eligible but how to proceed?

To qualify as a NDIS participant, an individual must have a lasting and substantial disability or developmental delay. Additionally, they must meet the age requirement at the time of application, reside in Australia, and hold either Australian citizenship, a permanent visa, or a Protected Special Category visa. When preparing to apply for the NDIS, individuals may find it helpful to seek support from a family member, friend, caregiver, NDIS local area coordinator, early childhood partner, doctor, or other healthcare professionals.
